WHAT WE'RE DOING TO STAY SAFE
As per WHO and the South African Government guidelines, Birch’s is following the necessary safety measures.
AT THE FACTORY
- All staff members must have a face mask on before entering the factory
- Temperatures are checked & hands are sanitised before staff enter the premises
- All staff have been issued with face masks and face shields
- Soap dispensers and air-dryer in toilets
- Posters in all areas for precautionary measures
- Leaflets/Notices with regards to all Covid-19 related matters available at entry to take and read through
- Quarantine area for all outgoing and incoming products
- Hand sanitisation stations available at all entry points & high traffic areas
- All departments are sanitised continuously, throughout the day
- Our elected Covid-19 response team screens staff daily
- Social distancing of 1.5m is practised at all workstations where possible
- Our Covid-19 response team conducts training to ensure staff stay safe not just in the workplace but at home too.
DELIVERIES
Our delivery service partner, Globeflight, has given us the greatest assurance that the above safety measures are taken in their workplace and warehouse. To further assist, they follow the below safety measures when delivering:
- Drivers wear masks and gloves
- Drivers sanitise their hands before & after delivery
- Orders will be placed on the ground and the driver will keep 1.5m distance
Once you have received your parcel, please follow the following guidelines:
- Sanitise outside of parcel and your hands
- Since some of the fabrics are dry-cleanable only, please either steam the garment or place a dry cotton cloth over the garment and steam with your hot iron. Do not apply the iron directly onto the garment and always use the steam function
